How to Judge the Quality of High-Alumina Ceramic Balls
1. Alumina Content
This is the core indicator. Higher content means greater hardness and wear resistance. Common industrial grades include 92%, 95%, 99% and other specifications, which need to be confirmed through test reports. Substandard content will significantly shorten the service life.
2. Physical Properties
- Density: Qualified products have uniform density (approximately 3.6-3.9g/cm³), without hollowing or excessive porosity.
- Hardness: Mohs hardness ≥9, which can be tested by a simple scratch method (not easily scratched by hard objects).
- Compressive Strength: ≥1500MPa to ensure it is not easy to break in equipment.
3. Appearance and Size
The surface is smooth without cracks or chipping, and the color is uniform. It has small dimensional tolerance and good spherical roundness to avoid affecting fluidity during use.
4. Stability
- Chemical Stability: Resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, and does not undergo chemical reactions in high-temperature environments (≤1200℃).
- Thermal Stability: No cracking after sudden cooling and heating, adapting to temperature fluctuations in industrial working conditions.
